MWC Barcelona 2027: dates and venue

The organiser, GSMA, has set MWC Barcelona 2027 for 1 to 4 March 2027 at Fira Gran Via (Av. Joan Carles I, 64, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat). The venue sits between the airport and central Barcelona, along the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes.

A chauffeur by the hour for back-to-back meetings

An MWC day is rarely a single journey. You might have breakfast with a client at your hotel, meetings on the stand, lunch in the Eixample, another appointment on the Diagonal and a dinner that runs late. With our hourly chauffeur service you book the car for the day, and your driver stays close by while you are inside the venue.

At the start, your chauffeur gives you a mobile number. When a meeting ends, you send a message and the car collects you at the private-vehicle drop-off point. If your schedule changes, tell your driver, who will rearrange the stops. Laptops, samples or stand material can stay in the boot all day.

Many attendees fly out on the afternoon of the last day. If your suitcase has been in the boot since the morning, your chauffeur takes you from the last meeting straight to T1 or T2.

From the airport and your hotel to Fira Gran Via

Fira Gran Via is about 9 km from El Prat T2 and about 12 km from T1. If you fly in, we track your flight and your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign. Waiting is free for 1 h 15 min from the moment the plane lands.

Plaça Europa in L'Hospitalet has several hotels a few minutes from the venue. From Passeig de Gràcia it is about 6 km along the Gran Via, and from the Diagonal Mar hotels next to the CCIB about 14 km on the ring roads.

In light traffic none of these drives takes more than half an hour. During the congress, though, the roads into Plaça Europa and the Gran Via fill up first thing in the morning and again at closing time. The organiser tells attendees travelling by car to allow plenty of extra time, so we bring morning pick-ups forward.

Several cars for your team or delegation

If your company brings several executives, clients or the whole stand team, send us a list with names, flights, hotels and timings. We assign a car to everyone who needs one, and you deal with one contact for any change during the week.

Executives travel in a Mercedes E-Class (3 passengers, 3 suitcases) or an S-Class (2 or 3 passengers), which gives more room in the back for work between meetings. The V-Class seats 7, and for stand staff we run hotel-to-venue shuttles by minibus (8–19 seats) or coach (20–55 seats), build-up days included.

With a corporate chauffeur account, every service of the week goes on one monthly invoice.

Other congresses at Fira Gran Via, Fira Montjuïc and the CCIB

The same service covers ISE, Smart City Expo World Congress and the other trade fairs at Fira Gran Via, as well as events at Fira Montjuïc and the CCIB. The organiser lists Talent Arena, which runs alongside MWC, at Fira Montjuïc next to Plaça d'Espanya. If your schedule splits between the two venues, your chauffeur drives you from one to the other.

When to book and how to get a quote

For MWC, it is best to book hotels and ground transport months ahead. The sooner you send us dates, head count and a rough agenda, the easier it is to hold the vehicle you want. We confirm a fixed price before the congress, tolls included, and you pay nothing to request a quote.
