Transfer from Barcelona Airport to Sitges: route, journey time and vehicles
Sitges is about 30 km from El Prat. Your chauffeur takes the C-31 towards Castelldefels and joins the C-32 motorway, which runs through the Garraf massif in a string of tunnels. The C-32 toll plaza is on that stretch, and the toll is included in your price. Without traffic you arrive in around 30 minutes; the drive from T1 is slightly shorter than from T2.
The other way is the C-31 coast road over the Garraf cliffs, with views of the sea. It is narrow and full of bends, which you feel after a flight, especially with children who get carsick. Your chauffeur only uses it when the motorway is closed.
Sitges is a town you explore on foot: the Passeig de la Ribera seafront, the church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla on its rock above the sea, the Cau Ferrat and Maricel museums, and the Ribera and Sant Sebastià beaches. Hotels sit in the centre, along the promenade west towards Terramar, and around the Aiguadolç marina to the east. The countryside nearby has hotels and country estates that host weddings and company meetings.
The old town has narrow lanes and several pedestrian streets. If you are staying on one of them, your chauffeur stops at the nearest accessible point and helps with your cases. Is there a direct train from the airport to Sitges?
No. The Rodalies R2 Nord leaves from the station at T2, and you change to the R2 Sud at El Prat de Llobregat. If you land at T1, you first take the shuttle bus to T2. Check current timetables on rodalies.gencat.cat.
