Group transfers in Barcelona: a van with driver for 7, a minibus or a coach

Which vehicle your group needs

Two numbers decide the vehicle: how many people are travelling, children included, and how many suitcases you have. Up to 3 passengers with 3 suitcases fit in a Mercedes E-Class. For 4 to 7 people, the Mercedes V-Class van with driver takes 7 passengers and 7 suitcases. From 8 to 19 people we use a minibus with driver, and from 20 to 55 a coach.

At the edge of each band, luggage decides. Seven adults with one large case and one cabin bag each will not travel comfortably in a V-Class, so we would suggest a small minibus or a V-Class plus a saloon. Ask us to price both. Two vehicles make sense when the group splits up on arrival, for example between two hotels.

Luggage: suitcases, skis, golf bags and pushchairs

Tell us how many large and cabin-size cases you have, plus anything bulky: ski or board bags, golf bags, bikes, pushchairs or musical instruments. These take more room than a suitcase and can change the vehicle we send.

Luggage space in a minibus depends on the model, so we confirm it before you book. A coach has a luggage hold underneath, which lets a large group coming back from a ski week or a cruise stow everything and keep the aisle clear. Luggage is included in the fixed price, and so are tolls.

Meeting a group at the airport

At El Prat, your driver meets the group in the T1 or T2 arrivals hall. Your driver holds a sign with your chosen name, such as the organiser’s or company’s name. We track the flight. Free waiting covers 1 h 15 min from landing. Longer waits cost extra.

If the group arrives on different flights, send us every flight number. We can collect each part of the group separately or do one pick-up once the last flight has landed, and we will explain what each option means for timing and price. For the return, we set a hotel pick-up time that leaves room for everyone to check in their luggage. Hotels get 15 minutes of courtesy waiting, so ask the group to be in the lobby a few minutes early.

On departure day, check the terminal on everyone's boarding pass before leaving the hotel. T1 and T2 are separate buildings, and Aena's free shuttle bus takes 10 to 14 minutes between them. If the group flies from both terminals, tell us and we will stop at each.

Families, cruises, ski trips and theme parks

The V-Class suits families. Child seats are free. Tell us each child’s age, height and weight. We fit the seats before pick-up. Each child seat takes one of the 7 places. Two adults with five young children fill the van.

At the cruise port, your driver waits free of charge for 30 minutes from the agreed pick-up time. A group can take a while to disembark, so set that time with a margin; our cruise port transfers page has the details. In winter we run the Barcelona Airport to Andorra transfer with room for ski bags, and in summer the Barcelona Airport to PortAventura transfer for families heading straight to the park or to Salou.

Business teams, conferences and weddings

For trade fairs at Fira Gran Via or meetings outside the office, we coordinate vehicles with the same departure time. You have one contact for changes. Companies can use monthly invoicing. Coach drivers are not tour guides, but the coach has a microphone, so you can bring your own guide on a group excursion.

How to get a quote for a group

Message us on WhatsApp, call, email or use the booking form. Send the date, time and pick-up and drop-off addresses. Send your passenger and suitcase counts. Tell us each child’s age, height and weight. List any bulky luggage. If the group leaves from several hotels, list them all.
