Girona-Costa Brava Airport is in Vilobí d'Onyar, about 12 km south-west of Girona and right beside the AP-7. Central Barcelona is about 100 km away: your chauffeur drives south on the AP-7, enters the city on the C-33 and, from the Trinitat interchange, takes Avinguda Meridiana to the Eixample, the Ronda Litoral to the port and Barceloneta, or the Ronda de Dalt to Sarrià and Pedralbes. Without traffic it takes about 70 minutes. On weekdays the C-33 and the ring roads into Barcelona fill up during the morning rush, and in summer the AP-7 gets busy on Sunday afternoons. Girona mainly handles low-cost flights, led by Ryanair, and plenty of travellers land here even though Barcelona is their final destination. There is a single, compact terminal: your chauffeur waits at the arrivals exit with a name sign, the car parked a short walk away. For your flight home, allow about 70 minutes from central Barcelona to the Girona terminal, plus whatever time your airline asks for bag drop and security. If you spend your last night in Girona itself, the airport is about 20 minutes away and we cover that trip too.
