Transfer from Barcelona Airport to PortAventura: route, journey time and vehicles

PortAventura World is about 100 km from El Prat, between Salou and Vila-seca. Your chauffeur leaves on the C-32, runs through the Garraf tunnels and joins the AP-7 towards Tarragona. After the Reus exit, a few kilometres on the A-7 bring you to the turn-off for Vila-seca, La Pineda and PortAventura. Without traffic it takes about 70 minutes from terminal to hotel, and the C-32 tolls are included in your price. When the Garraf section is jammed, your chauffeur can go inland on the AP-7 through the Penedès, a toll-free route that is a little longer.

On Friday afternoons in July and August, the C-32 and AP-7 carry heavy traffic towards the coast. Sunday afternoons bring queues in the opposite direction. The resort attracts many visitors at Easter and during the park's Halloween and Christmas seasons. Morning and late-night arrivals usually meet less traffic. Request your pick-up in advance. We confirm availability for your flight time.

The resort has three parks, PortAventura Park, Caribe Aquatic Park and Ferrari Land, and six hotels of its own: PortAventura, El Paso, Caribe, Gold River, Colorado Creek and Mansión de Lucy. Tell us where you are staying and your chauffeur drops you at the reception door. If your hotel is in Salou, La Pineda or Cambrils, we drive you straight there. The parks do not open all year and each one has its own calendar, so check portaventuraworld.com before you fix your travel dates.

In Spain, children 135 cm tall or shorter need an approved child seat in passenger cars. We choose seats according to height and weight. Give us each child's age, height and weight when you book. We provide baby seats, child seats and boosters free of charge. Include pushchairs, travel cots and pool bags when you request a quote. We confirm the vehicle according to all your luggage.

There is no direct train from the airport. You would first travel into Barcelona and change to a Rodalies regional train for Salou-PortAventura station, which has only a few direct services a day. Scheduled coaches also run between the airport and the Costa Daurada. Check timetables and fares on rodalies.gencat.cat and the coach operator's website. With tired children and a week's luggage, a car saves you the changes.

A family of three travels comfortably in the Mercedes E-Class (3 passengers, 3 suitcases). Two families together, or one with grandparents, fit in the V-Class, which seats 7 and carries 7 cases. School trips, sports clubs and delegates attending an event at the PortAventura convention centre travel by minibus (8 to 19 seats) or coach (20 to 55). If you fly into Reus Airport, about 15 minutes from the resort, we collect you there too.

Transfer to PortAventura: frequently asked questions

Will you drop us at the door of our PortAventura hotel?

Yes. Your chauffeur stops at the reception of any of the resort's six hotels. Give us the hotel name when you book. If you would rather get out at the park entrance, we can drop you there instead.

We arrive before hotel check-in time. What do we do with our luggage?

Ask your hotel whether it stores luggage until your room is ready. Your chauffeur drops you at reception with all your cases and helps you unload. If your flight lands very early, you can also book the chauffeur by the hour and stop somewhere on the way, such as Tarragona.

Can you pick us up at Reus Airport instead?

Yes. Reus Airport is about 15 minutes from PortAventura, and the service is the same: a chauffeur in arrivals with a name sign, flight tracking and a fixed price.

What time should we leave PortAventura for our flight home?

Allow about 70 minutes for the drive without traffic, plus the time your airline asks you to arrive before departure. On a summer Sunday afternoon, add a margin for queues on the AP-7 and C-32. Send us your flight time and we suggest a pick-up time at your hotel.

Where will my chauffeur meet me?

In the arrivals hall, at the exit from baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name. We track your flight and wait 1 h 15 min free of charge from landing, even if it is delayed. Extra waiting time is charged.

How much does the transfer from Barcelona Airport to PortAventura cost?
