Girona-Costa Brava Airport is about 35 km from Lloret de Mar. Your chauffeur takes the A-2 dual carriageway south and then the C-63, which runs down to the edge of Lloret. Without traffic the drive takes around 30 minutes. In July and August, the last stretch through the town centre and the hotel streets is slower.

The public transport option is Sagalés bus line 613, which links the airport with Lloret bus station. From the station you still have to reach your accommodation. If you are staying in Fenals, Santa Cristina or a residential area outside the centre, that last stretch is hard work with children or heavy luggage. Lloret's main beach sits in front of the old town and the seafront promenade. To the west you find Fenals, a beach of about 700 metres, and the Santa Clotilde Gardens on a clifftop above the sea. For walkers, the coastal path to Tossa de Mar covers about 12 km of shoreline. From Girona we also drive to Blanes, Tossa de Mar and Platja d'Aro.
If you want to see Girona before heading to the coast, the old town (Barri Vell) is about 14 km from the airport. With the hourly service your chauffeur waits while you walk around the cathedral and the city walls, luggage in the boot, then drives on to Lloret, about 40 km from Girona.
