Barcelona Airport to Girona private transfer

Girona is about 115 km from El Prat. We leave the airport on the Ronda de Dalt (B-20) or the Ronda Litoral, join the C-33 towards Montmeló and head north on the AP-7 to the Girona Sud or Girona Nord exit, depending on where you are staying. The AP-7 has been toll-free since September 2021. Without traffic you arrive in about 75 minutes; at rush hour the Barcelona ring roads and the Vallès stretch slow things down, which we allow for when planning return trips to the airport.

Girona-Costa Brava Airport is about 13 km from the city. It offers fewer destinations than El Prat, and many routes run only in summer. From El Prat you need at least two trains, usually with a change in Barcelona. A car takes you from arrivals to your hotel without changes, a practical option with children or heavy luggage.

Most visitors stay in the Barri Vell, the old town, or in the Eixample across the River Onyar. The Barri Vell is a restricted-access zone: a camera at Plaça Catalunya records number plates and only authorised vehicles may enter. If your hotel is inside, ask whether it can register our car for access; if not, we drop you at the nearest permitted point. For the return, we add rush-hour margin and your airline's check-in time to the 75-minute drive, suggest a pick-up time when we confirm, and drop you at the right terminal, T1 or T2, which we check against your flight number.

You explore the old town on foot: the cathedral and its long flight of steps, the coloured houses above the Onyar, the Call (the medieval Jewish quarter), the Arab Baths and the walk along the city walls. In May, the Temps de Flors festival fills courtyards and monuments with flower installations and hotels book up early. In late October the Fires de Sant Narcís bring the town fair to the Devesa, the large plane-tree park beside the River Ter. Many people come to eat, too; El Celler de Can Roca is in the Taialà district, outside the centre, and we can drive you to the door.

The E-Class seats three passengers with their luggage, and the S-Class is the usual choice for business trips. Girona is a training base for many professional cyclists: if you are bringing a bike in a box or bag, tell us how many bikes and passengers there are and we will confirm the vehicle, usually the seven-seat V-Class. For weddings in the Empordà or company groups, the minibus takes 8 to 19 people. If your final stop is on the Costa Brava, we include it in the same quote.
