Transfer from Barcelona Airport to Terrassa: route, journey time and vehicles
From T1 at Barcelona El Prat to the centre of Terrassa is about 38 km. The most direct route climbs the Ronda de Dalt (B-20), crosses the Collserola hills through the Vallvidrera tunnels and follows the C-16 past Sant Cugat into Terrassa. The tolls on this route are part of the fixed price. Without traffic, the drive takes about 40 minutes.
When the tunnels are busy, your chauffeur can take the B-23 and the AP-7, about 44 km, or the C-58, the motorway linking Barcelona with Sabadell and Terrassa. On weekdays the ring roads and the C-58 fill up early in the morning and when offices close, so if your flight lands in those windows, allow some extra time. Your chauffeur chooses the route according to traffic, and the price does not change.
If you are visiting, Terrassa has the Seu d'Ègara, a group of three churches with pre-Romanesque and Romanesque wall paintings; the mNACTEC, Catalonia's national museum of science and technology, in a former textile mill on Rambla d'Ègara; and the Masia Freixa, a modernista house by Lluís Muncunill in Parc de Sant Jordi. For walks in the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac natural park, your chauffeur drops you in Matadepera or at the Coll d'Estenalles pass, where several footpaths start, including the one up La Mola.
