Lleida city centre is about 160 km from El Prat. The usual road is the A-2, a toll-free dual carriageway through Martorell, El Bruc, Igualada, Cervera and Tàrrega. Without traffic you arrive in about 1 hour 50 minutes. The alternative runs down the C-32 and along the AP-7 and AP-2 via Montblanc. The AP-2 has been toll-free since 2021, and your chauffeur takes it when the A-2 is congested around Martorell or has roadworks.
AVE and Avant trains stop at Lleida Pirineus, a quick option for light luggage and a city-centre destination. From T1, first take the shuttle to T2. From T2, take the R2 Nord train to Sants. In Lleida, the Seu Vella, the old cathedral, stands over the city from its hill, and the Eix Comercial shopping street runs through the centre to the town hall (La Paeria).
