Barcelona Airport to Igualada private transfer

Igualada is about 65 km from El Prat. Your chauffeur leaves the airport for the A-2 and stays on it all the way, past Molins de Rei, Martorell and El Bruc; on the climb at El Bruc, Montserrat is on your right. The A-2 is a toll-free dual carriageway. Without traffic the drive takes about 50 minutes, slightly less from T2 than from T1.

Hold-ups mostly build between Molins de Rei and Martorell, at weekday rush hours and on Sunday evenings as traffic heads back to Barcelona. On that stretch the AP-7 runs alongside, and your chauffeur can switch to it if the A-2 stops moving. For the return to the airport, give us your flight time and terminal and we will suggest a pick-up time with a margin for that section. If you are leaving a meeting, courtesy waiting at companies and hotels is 15 minutes; when you cannot be sure when you will finish, book the hourly service instead.

At T1 or T2, your chauffeur waits at the arrivals exit holding a sign with your name. We track your flight, so the pick-up adjusts to an early or late landing, and you have 1 h 15 min of waiting included from touchdown. If you are carrying samples, product cases or work equipment, mention it when you book so we can choose the right vehicle.

Igualada is the capital of the Anoia district and has a long history of leather tanning. In the Rec quarter, beside the canal it is named after, old tanneries still stand; the Museu de la Pell, the leather museum, covers the trade in two buildings, Cal Boyer and Cal Granotes, an 18th-century tannery. Many trips to Igualada are for work: we drop you at the door of the company or hotel, including in Òdena, Vilanova del Camí or Santa Margarida de Montbui, which form one built-up area with the town.

In July the town hosts the European Balloon Festival, Spain's largest hot-air balloon gathering. Rooms sell out early that week, so book your transfer as soon as you have a hotel. Igualada also works as a base for Montserrat, about 35 minutes away, or Capellades, a quarter of an hour away; with an hourly booking, your chauffeur waits while you visit.

For a business trip, choose the Mercedes E-Class, or the S-Class for more room and discretion. Families or teams of up to 7 with luggage ride in the V-Class. For groups of 8 to 19, such as a team visiting a trade fair or the balloon festival, we use a minibus. For larger groups, we coordinate several vehicles with the same departure time from the airport and the same return time.
